The University of Applied Sciences – College of Law seeks to connect theoretical study with practical reality. A group of law students enrolled in the subjects of Information Technology Crimes for Master’s students and Economic and Electronic Crimes for Bachelor’s students, led by Dr. Hussein Bani Issa, Dean of the College of Law, and under the supervision of Dr. Amjad Ali Al-Naqresh, Head of the Public Law Department, visited the Cybercrime Administration to gain a better understanding of the nature of modern crimes and how to deal with them according to the applicable law in the Kingdom of Bahrain. 

 

During the visit, the students met with several members of the administration, who explained the objectives and priorities of the Cybercrime Administration, as well as how complaints related to electronic crimes are received and addressed, citing some evidence and examples. A presentation was also given on how to monitor violations and abuses that occur on the Internet, in addition to a tour of the administration’s exhibition and the Digital Evidence Laboratory affiliated with the administration. 

 

At the end of the visit, the University of Applied Sciences, represented by the President of the University, Dr. Ammar Al-Kaka, expressed sincere thanks to His Excellency Dean Bassam Al-Ma’araj, the Director General of the Directorate for Combating Corruption, Economic Security, and Cybercrime, and to Colonel Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, the Director of the Cybercrime Administration, for their hospitality and reception.
