
The University Awarded “Compliant with the General Framework Standards” Recognition from Education and Training Quality Authority BQA
In a new achievement underscoring an institutional commitment to excellence, the University has officially received the “compliant with the General Framework Standards” for Higher Education Institutions Performance Review, affirming full alignment with the general framework standards that were carried out during the institutional review conducted by the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) in collaboration with the Higher Education Council (HEC). The university was awarded the certificate by Dr Maryam Hasan Mustafa, Chief Executive of the Education and Training Quality Authority, in the presence of Dr Diana Abdulkarim Al Jahromi, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council.
This accomplishment crowns the university’s journey in instilling a culture of quality and academic accreditation, adhering to national and international governance standards, and delivering educational programmes that meet market demands, preparing graduates capable of competing locally and regionally.
On this occasion, Professor Waheeb Al Khaja, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, expressed his pride in the universityโs accomplishment and affirmed that “this accreditation reflects the success of the university’s policies in embedding comprehensive quality principles, which indeed highlights the progress achieved in institutional development, enhancing both academic and administrative performance”. Such achievement accentuates the Board of Trustees’ commitment to providing the necessary support and guidance to continue the university’s journey toward institutional excellence and international accreditation.
Professor Hatem Masri, the University President, emphasised that “the institutional review constituted a significant milestone in evaluating academic and administrative implementation; thus, It demonstrated the university’s readiness to meet institutional quality requirements, underscores its continuous devotion to delivering cutting-edge educational programmes, facilitating academic partnerships, and driving innovation in education and scientific research”.
Professor Masri added that the university views this achievement as a catalyst to redouble its efforts in academic excellence, aiming to achieve further future accomplishments. He emphasised that the university operates within a clear strategic plan designed to enhance its regional and global competitiveness. This comprises investing in the development of academic personnel, updating digital and educational infrastructure, and opening new horizons for students in entrepreneurship and innovation.
