New Bridges of Knowledge Between the University and Bahrain Accountants Association to Strengthen Academic–Professional Integration

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration between the academic and professional sectors, the University welcomed a delegation from the Bahrain Accountants and Auditors Association (BAAA) on 16 September 2025. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for joint cooperation that would support the quality of education and align academic outcomes with the needs of the labour market.

During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to exchange expertise and knowledge between the university’s academic members and professionals in the accounting field. The discussions included plans to organise joint workshops and training programmes designed to strengthen students’ practical skills in accounting and auditing, as well as to promote research collaboration on contemporary financial and accounting issues.

Attendees brought up the importance of building strong communication channels between higher education institutions and professional bodies to achieve greater integration in developing national competencies and enhancing professional practices across the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting also explored the possibility of involving the University students in the Association’s future initiatives and conferences, providing them with opportunities for direct engagement with industry experts and practitioners, thereby enriching their educational experience and professional development.
