The College of Engineering at ASU, in collaboration with Binario Lab in Italy, hosted an insightful session on ‘Sustainable Restoration of Architectural Heritage: Case Studies from Italy.

The event featured Senior Architect Cristiano Ferrari as the distinguished guest speaker, focusing on sustainable practices, cultural preservation, and innovation in architectural heritage restoration through Italian case studies.

Dr. Ali Sedki initiated the event, emphasizing the significance of exposing students to such topics in alignment with the UN SDGs, specifically target 11.4 which focuses on strengthening efforts to protect and safeguard the world’s cultural and natural heritage.

Participants engaged in discussions emphasizing the role of the younger generation in shaping a more sustainable and culturally rich future.
