ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Accounting and Finance offers three programmes, namely, Bachelor in Accounting and Finance (BAF), Bachelor in Accounting (BA), and Master in Accounting and Finance (MAF). These programmes are designed to enable students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their careers as professionals in the fields of Accounting and Finance. The programmes in the department do not only focus upon theoretical dimensions but also on applied practice.

The Department prepares our graduates for a range of career paths within their chosen fields with extensive links to relevant industries and business communities.

QUICK FACTS

The Bachelor in Accounting and Finance is an accredited programme by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

The Department benefits from a Bloomberg Lab that hosts 10 Bloomberg Terminals, which allow students and faculty access to Bloomberg Professional Services.

Faculty research is published in high-quality journals indexed in Scopus and ISI, including Finance Research Letters, Energy Economics, International Review of Financial Analysis, Research in International Business and Finance, Journal of Emerging Markets, Economic Analysis and Policy, North American Journal of Economics and Finance, Resources Policy, Borsa Istanbul Review.
