University Joins Partners of “Capital of Arab Sports Culture for 2026”
In line with its commitment to supporting national initiatives and strengthening its role in community engagement, the University has joined the network of partners supporting the activities of “Capital of Arab Sports Culture for 2026.” This follows the signing of a cooperation agreement with the General Sports Authority (GSA) to support Bahrain Sports Day and the Bahraini Sports Summit.
The agreement was signed in the presence of officials from both sides, with Professor Hatem Masri, the President of the University, signing on behalf of the University, and Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, Chief Executive Officer of General Sports Authority (GSA), signing on behalf of the Authority. The agreement underscores the importance of institutional collaboration in supporting major sporting events and strengthening their positive societal impact.
The University’s participation in supporting Bahrain Sports Day and the Bahraini Sports Summit reflects its strategy to promote social responsibility and support initiatives that contribute to the development of the sports sector and encourage a culture of physical activity across different segments of society. The partnership also aligns with the national vision aimed at promoting sport as a way of life and reinforcing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position on the map of major Arab sporting events.
