LLB (Hons) Law Students Explore Human Rights Mechanisms at National Institution

This event has expired

The College of Law organised a field visit for LLB (Hons) Law students from the London South Bank University (LSBU) to the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), and this is in line with its efforts to enhance students’ practical legal understanding and reinforce the connection between academic study and professional practice.

During the visit, students were introduced to the role and mandate of the NIHR, including its specialised committees and the operational mechanisms used to monitor, report, and follow up on human rights cases. The visit also provided students with valuable insights into the institution’s practical work in protecting and promoting human rights across the Kingdom, offering them firsthand exposure to the procedures, responsibilities, and challenges faced by human rights practitioners.

The initiative forms part of the College’s dedication to preparing graduates equipped with both theoretical and hands-on expertise, ensuring they are ready to engage effectively within the legal profession and broader justice ecosystem.
