    Entry Requirements for College of Engineering

    In order to be considered for entry to the programme applicants will be required to have the following qualifications:

    Bridging Requirements for Level 5 (Year 3):

    1- The applicant must hold a diploma or associate degree from the Kingdom of Bahrain or its equivalent from outside the Kingdom of Bahrain, provided the relevant authorities accredit the qualification in the issuing country.

    2- The applicant’s cumulative GPA must not be less than “Good” or its equivalent. If the cumulative GPA is lower than the required minimum, the student must either provide evidence of at least one year of relevant professional experience or pass a number of remedial modules according to the specialization.

    3-The applicant’s previous specialization must qualify them to study in the programme they wish to join.

    4- Students holding qualifications from professional or vocational programmes (National Diploma – ND or Higher National Diploma – HND or equivalent) are required to pass a number of remedial modules according to the specialization.

    5- The applicant must have obtained a score of 6 or higher in IELTS or its equivalent.

    6- Appropriate English support mechanisms are available based on the initial OOPT test score


    Documents Required:

    1- Certificate and transcripts of secondary school or its equivalent, approved by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

    2- A copy of valid passport.

    3- A copy of valid Personal ID .

    4- Personal Photos (required 3).

    5- Equivalency of non – Bahraini general secondary school certificate or private school’s certificate.

    6- Endorsed Original Diploma Degree’s certificate & transcripts.

    Appeal against Denial of Admission
     If the applicant wishes to appeal against Denial of Admission, he/she must fill a” Denial of Admission form” and submit it to the Deanship of Admission & Registration.
