First-year students of the LLB (Hons) Law (ASU) program, under the supervision of Professor Ghada Ehsan, program coordinator, participated in a field visit to the General Secretariat of the Parliament on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. The students were warmly welcomed and attended an introductory lecture on the roles and responsibilities of the parliamentary council and the key milestones of the comprehensive democratic journey in the Kingdom of Bahrain. They also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the facilities of the council and receive valuable answers to their inquiries. The visit concluded with the students attending a part of the regular parliamentary session held that morning. Member of Parliament Her Excellency Maryam Hassan Al-Sayegh, received a shield on behalf of the council. This visit played a significant role in connecting the theoretical aspects of the coursework with practical realities.
