Under the patronage of Prof. Ghassan Aouad, President of the University. An induction day for the new students has been organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs on the occasion of the first semester start for the academic year 2017-2018. In the presence of the University President and a number of senior management members. Where the induction goal was to prepare the newly joint students socially and academically, offer them a demonstrative tour within the University facilities and their guidelines. In addition to the opportunity for the student to ask questions regarding various subjects and allow them to participate in some of the university activities.
A welcoming speech from the University President Prof. Aouad, inspiring the students to give their best toward achieving their goals and he mentioned that the college life is the starting point to plan the future of the person’s life and achieve their long term objectives.
He also stressed that the University is employing all its efforts and energies to their beloved students first and foremost. Moreover, He advised the students to take full advantage of these provided opportunities in the new campus which was established in accordance to the highest international standards that fulfill the scientific needs of the higher education in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Further, to the above, Dr. Faiza Zitouni Dean of Student Affairs stressed that the Deanship is looking forward engaging the students and help them in to invest their university career, employ their performance and raise the creativity ceiling by participating in various activities within the university such as, youth, Sport and other related activities. The Deanship of Student Affairs follows the “open door” the policy to receive the students’ opinions and inquiries that would benefit them during their study journey at the university. Dr. Zitouni also thanked the members of the Student Council and the members of the student clubs for their outstanding work that showed their passion towards ASU and it appeared clearly in their enthusiasm during the welcoming and guiding of their new colleagues.
